Recommendation for Our Short-Term Guests

For visitors staying with us for only 10 to 14 days, we highly recommend including the following activities in your itinerary. Each of these experiences deserves a full day, ensuring you get the most out of your stay:

  1. Table Mountain in the morning/midday, followed by an afternoon and evening at the V&A Waterfront—potentially including a boat trip to Robben Island in the afternoon.
  2. Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope (a scenic peninsula tour), with whale watching in False Bay during the season.
  3. First Winelands Tour: Stellenbosch (southeast) and Franschhoek.
  4. Second Winelands Tour: Stellenbosch (northwest) and Paarl.
  5. Gansbaai for shark diving in the morning, followed by whale watching in Hermanus in the afternoon, and ending with a visit to Gordon’s Bay in the early evening.
Alternatively, Hermanus for whale watching, with lunch at Bien Tang’s Cave and a wine tasting in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley at Hamilton Russell and/or Bouchard Finlayson.
  6. Game Park Safari featuring the Big Five until early afternoon, followed by a wine tasting in the Robertson Valley.
  7. A guided tour through the Cape Peninsula and Cape Town on an Open-Top Double-Decker Bus is a great way to get an excellent overview of the area - preferably at the beginning of the trip.

With these seven days packed with adventures and some relaxing days in between, your 10- to 14-day itinerary will be nearly complete. Keep in mind that many of these excursions involve extended driving, which can be time-consuming and require extra energy.

Additional Experiences for a Well-Rounded Stay

  • A visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, ideally on a Sunday for one of the summer concerts.
  • A relaxing boat cruise, possibly at sunset, off Sea Point aboard a catamaran.
  • A hiking day with wine tastings right here in our stunning Constantia Valley.

For Adrenaline Junkies

For those seeking an extra thrill, paragliding and/or skydiving are also exciting options!
