The Constantia Valley and its immediate surroundings

On the Constantia Valley Wine Route, you can get to know the famous wineries in the green valley of Constantia. Groot Constantia was founded in 1685 and assigned to the first governor on the Cape, Simon van der Stel, as an experimental farm for agricultural products, which mainly developed viticulture here and made Constantia wine world-famous.
