Markus Pienaar is a cultural tour guide in the Cape Peninsula and offers various Cape Town and Surrounding area tours, however he has decided to concentrate more on his City Bowl Walking Tour. Not only do you get a healthy workout walking through the streets of the Mother City, but you also get a personal tour guide who shares his passion for the city......and that makes him stand out from the rest.

Markus has done a lot of  research and planning and has gathered interesting historical facts and photos to present during the tour, which will take you past most of the statues, historical buildings and museums where the picture becomes clearer as to how things were back in the 1600’s, when the Cape was governed by the Dutch and the British. The tour ends outside the “old” Cape Town City Hall at ca. 14h00. An optional Bo Kaap tour starts here till ca. 16h00.

Doing the walking tour you will visit the Cape Town Castle to see the daily opening ceremony at 10h00, as well as wander round two museums. Before leaving, coffee or tea will be enjoyed at the little restaurant. Lunch is enjoyed at the restaurant in the Company Gardens. The tour ends at the famous Green Market Square, where you will have time to browse the stalls and see what is on offer.
