You can actually call our wine area the El Dorado of Wines, according to Howard Hawks. The best possible opportunities are available for wine lovers for a really enjoyable holiday, especially our guests!
We have a very special connection to wine and wine culture. Alone the Constantia Valley has a very great influence on us because it is the oldest wine area in the whole of South Africa. Some of the top wine farms are situated in this region including Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia and Steenberg. Fact is we work very closely together with a wine agent who exports South African wine to Germany and we can rely on his expertise at any time and this enables us to inform and serve our guests perfectly.
Enjoy wine tastings at our establishment
It is very easy and comfortable for our guests to taste and compare various different wines from different wine farms so that they can quickly find out which is their favourite label and wine farm. We organise wine tastings on an ad hoc basis and then invite one or several cellar masters with whom we are very friendly and then taste their favourite suggestions, be it white Sauvignon Blanc or Merlot Rose or red Shiraz. This all accompanies a fish or meat braai, (barbeque), as we call it here in South Africa or a potijekos, the traditional South African casserole.
"Wine & Dine" in great restaurants
The matching of wonderful wines and superb food is very popular in the excellent restaurants just around the corner, we even get top Chefs to match the menu to the wines of our wine partners, creating a special wine matching menu.
Wine tasting and wine cellar visits in the Winelands
It is best to experience wines where they are produced. The three large wine areas Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek are all within one hours radius from us. We organise tours to the Winelands so that we can visit as many winefarms and their wines in just one day in a relaxed environment. Our guests are accompanied by our experienced wine expert who can can give you so much interesting information in German together with the cellar master. On the first visit we go to the vineyards where the cellar master explains the rearing of the vines, then we view a small and then middle sized vineyard where the procedure of wine making is shown. At least 15 different wines are tasted at four different winefarms and then we go for a late lunch in the early afternoon where wines from a different winefarm are tried and tasted intensively.

Wine tasting at our establishment
Our guests can order wine directly from us at any time, that means they can buy just a bottle if they want at the reduced cellar price which they would pay directly at the Winefarm.
