We got to know this impressive restaurant years ago when we came on holiday to Cape Town and when we just drove around looking for new experiences. We are really happy that we found Tangos on one of these trips. We arrived one evening when the restaurant was totally full and we had to wait at the bar for about 10 minutes before we were shown our seats but the wait was worth every minute. The food was excellent and the service very friendly and welcoming. We had steaks and these were the best in our gourmet experience and that is no joke. Now we are regular clients at Tangos and we recommend it to everyone whenever we can. In all those years never once has anyone ever been disappointed and they are always satisfied and go home nice and full.
Since 1997 Tangos earns its excellent reputation as well as by and especially by the locals who live in the area and also by the guests who travel far to eat a good steak. Tangos is well known for its wide choice of daily fresh fish, excellent prawns and calamari dishes as well as for the best South African beef. So Tangos is totally suitable for meat and fish lovers. The atmosphere is warm, a little bit Latin American. A guarded parking place is situated right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant offers a good choice of wines but also allows you to bring your own bottle without charging you extra corkage. This is most unusual for Cape Town. There is a separate smoking section.

  The Royal Thai dining experience is unique in that each Wang Thai features a Thai trained master chef who prepares all the menu items from scratch upon orders being placed. The composition of the menu ensures that guests experience subtle nuances and flavors that are sweet and sour, spicy and subtle all within their individual dining experience.
Nur die frischesten Zutaten, die direkt vom eigenen, exklusiven Lieferanten aus Thailand bezogen werden, finden Einzug in die Küche. Hier wird nicht nur gekocht, sondern auch zur Unterhaltung der Gäste - und somit zu einem wesentlichen Teil der Atmosphäre - beigetragen, da man vom Gastraum aus durch ein grossen Schaufenster den Meistern der Thai-Kochkunst beim zelebrieren der köstlichen Speisen zuschauen kann.

  ....geniessen wir selten, aber regelmässig an der Westküste. Direkt an der Table Bay, zwischen Milnerton und Bloubergstrand, kann man so richtig im Fisch schwelgen.

  ....geniessen wir all zu gerne im Noordhoek Farmstall, etwa 20km von Constantia Cottages entfernt.
